The women in this successful program are taught by a dedicated group of talented volunteers, who include skilled dressmakers, pattern makers, professional tailors, high quality home sewers and quilt makers. Some volunteers have extensive past experience in the garment industry.
When students have gained experience, they are given a donated sewing machine to use at home.
As of late 2021, we no longer offer the making of Liturgical and Choir robes, made by more advanced students with the guidance of an experienced dressmaker. We do however have some robes in stock for sale. If you are interested please email your inquiry.
Some Liturgical garments including beautiful embroidery are made by skilled volunteers.
Many of the women stay on after sewing to attend English classes.
